On wednesday night, we were at the exhibition of the famous Malian photographer Seydou KEÏTA (1921-2001). It takes place at the “Grand Palais” in Paris until 11 July 2016. This is a beautiful retrospective with more than 200 pictures. We really appreciated the quality of his artwork that reflects authentically the Malian society of his time.
Seydou KEÏTA is considered as one of the greatest photographers of his generation. He is known for his creativity as well as his expertise of framing and light. He brought a modern edge to his profession, which has contributed to his success beyond the borders of Mali.
He retired in 1977 after being the official photographer of his country which became independent during the 60’s. His artistic work is simply outstanding! If you are in Paris, we strongly recommend you to enjoy this exhibition which will end in a few weeks.
