The endowment fund ” African Artists for development” presents the ” Lumières d’Afriques ” exhibition. Until February 1st 2016, artworks of 54 African artists will be presented at “Gare du Nord” in Paris. It revolves around “Africa ´s ligths” as energy resources.
“Lumières d’Afriques” wants to be a reflection of the vitality of contemporary art on a changing continent. Indeed, enrolled in an eco-artistic approach, the artists offer works that raise the issue of the balance between economic growth and sustainable development .
With passion and optimism, these painters, sculptors and photographers present the dream and hope that drive them to see their continent shine.
